The basics
Every couple of hours you get a free crate. Open it to reveal a buggle. The buggles you own slowly earn you glowberries, even while you are offline. Spend those glowberries, send buggles on quests and forage runs, and trade with other players to grow your collection.
Glowberries
Glowberries are the in-game currency. Your buggles earn them for you automatically, around the clock. Only one of each buggle earns, so extra copies do not earn more.
Income keeps building while you are away, but it stops after about three days of inactivity, so it is worth collecting now and then. You also earn glowberries from quests, forage runs and releasing duplicates. You spend them on crates, cosmetics, market access and trophy slots.
Duplicates
When you own more than one of the same buggle, each copy has its own edition number. Your lowest-numbered copy is your primary, the main one to hold onto. Everything above it is a duplicate.
Duplicates are yours to do anything with: release them for glowberries (rarer buggles are worth more), trade them with friends, sell them on the market, or combine them in a trade-up to try for a rarer buggle. Releasing is permanent, so check first.
Leaderboards
There are several leaderboards to climb, not just one. They rank players by different things, including aura (your collection's overall score), completion and vintage, so there is more than one way to reach the top.
Trading and the market
There are two ways to swap. The market lets you buy and sell buggles for glowberries with anyone. Private trades let you swap buggles, glowberries and crates directly with a friend. Both open up after a one-time market access fee.
Cosmetics
Cosmetics change how you look, not how you play: colours, titles, profile pictures and card backgrounds, all from cosmetic crates. You can browse and try any of them on the Cosmetics page.
Series and vaulting
Buggles come in series. When a series vaults, it closes for good: you can no longer find those buggles in crates, and the only way to get them is from other players who already have them. A new series then begins. So finishing a series before it vaults is a big deal.
